Hamburg Agencies Support the Special Olympics

       Town of Hamburg Police, Fire, and EMS agencies along with multiple other State and County resources came out on December 3, 2010 to help support the NYS Special Olympics WNY Polar Plunge. This annual event, put together by members of law enforcement community and the private sector, has grown to over 800 participants who take the plunge. This year’s event has raised over $ 140,000 for the athletes of the NYS Special Olympics.
Chairman Steve Nigrelli of the NYS Police would like to thank all agencies and volunteers who operated under a NIMS Large cale Unified Command structure to make this event a safe and successful event.
