On Saturday April 9, 2011, the Hamburg Fire Chief’s Association hosted a seminar for area firefighters called “Tactical Operations and the New Rules of Combat Fire Engagement” with featured presenter Chief Christopher Naum. Chief Naum is a nationally recognized and high acclaimed author, instructor and authority on building construction. He is the Chief of Training for the Command Institute, Washington, DC – Vice President of the International Society of Fire Service Instructors – and a Contributing Editor of Firehouse Magazine and Firehouse.com as well as Buildingsonfire.com.
It is the goal of the Hamburg Fire Chief’s Training Bureau and Standardization Committee to provide a wide variety of training and education to all firefighters so as to enhance our safety, efficiency, and effectiveness while performing at incidents.
We would like to thank all of the Chiefs that promoted this seminar to their members and to those Association members that helped out at the seminar.
Special thanks goes to Char and Ashley Wilson for coordinating the refreshments; the HamburgMiddle School on Division Street in The Village of Hamburg for donating the use of their facility; and mostly to those that attended the seminar in an effort to improve their safety and effectiveness.
